Katie, a freelance video editor desperate for work, receives a well-paid offer from an anonymous employer to edit a cryptic and bizarre video. Short on cash and facing eviction, Katie readily accepts the job. The video shows people being tortured and even killed on camera – surely just an elaborately staged fiction. But when the first job leads to even more lucrative contracts and even more disturbing snuff films, Katie’s life begins to crumble. Strange figures in her apartment, horrible nightmares keep her awake and a mysterious illness plagues her cat. It is only when Katie decides to quit the job for good that she learns how cruel her anonymous employer really is and what bloody measures she herself is prepared to take to get out of her contract.
