Synopsis

Paddington returns to Peru to visit his beloved aunt Lucy, who now lives in a retired Bear House. With the Brown family by his side, an exciting adventure begins when a secret sends them on an unexpected journey. However, it was he who came up with the idea for this third film and became executive producer.

The Paddington we never needed

My son was 7 when “Paddington 2” came out, and it’s one of my favorite movies, so waiting 7 years for the third installment gave me hope that “Paddington in Peru” could be as good as the first 2. movies.

Bird, are practically nonexistent

It’s not. The children, now young adults, are reduced to very little dialogue. The jokes of the main characters, like Mrs.

Mary Brown would be better off just being absent from this adventure or dropping out

Sally Hawkins brought such a charming quirk to the character of Mary Brown that no matter what the franchise said, she was truly irreplaceable. The brilliant farce of the second film is largely gone or its recreation is repeated, but not as well. I may be alone in this opinion, but I really wanted to see some of Paddington’s relationship with his Aunt Lucy, and that was not achieved either.

Bring back Sally Hawkins in Paddington 4, and then end the series

Banderas and Gene’s characters also don’t work, although I don’t think that’s to the credits of any of the actors. I was glad to see “and Phoenix Buchanan as Phoenix Buchanan” in the credits. The transition from brilliantly charming and funny to “Paddington in Peru” is a real shame.
